Ive never seen one but read that they use an electrical shock something like a small scale electric fence to induce the bees to sting.Does bee venom have any value or market?

Hello Joker,
The following link provides info. about the collection techniques with photos and caveats. You didn't mention why you wanted the information, but, in general, physicians will often administer bee venom by innoculation. Last I heard they charged upwards of $100. per shot. They should be shot, the M.D's. that is: www.fao.org/docrep/w0076e/w0076e18.htm

Thanks for the information, but the link doesn't provide details about how to actually build a venom collector. The electric part is especially a "mistery" for me: what kind of batteries are used, how can you alternately charge and ground the wires?

Joker,
Having no personal experience w/the collection of venom from honey bees I cannot answer your question. However, www.beevenom.com/collectordevices.htm is a company that sells devices. If you speak w/them you may gain additional information.
