Beekeeping as a hobby in Connecticut was created by Koru Apiculture
I am moving to Connecticut, USA.
We bought there a house with 2 acres of land.
My first question is:
- If I want to put one or two beehives on my property, what are the rules and regulations I have to follow (size of the lot, warnings...)? Where can I look for this information?
Second question:
- In Frnace (where I'm from) we used to have 3 beehives surrounded by a lot of open spaces and farmaland (colza, accacias). Where we move to, our lot is heavily wooded at the bottom of a thalweg, back to a 200 acres parkland (forest). Can this setting work? What kind of bees would you suggest?
Cheers
