Hello Clem,
A popular subtitute will contain 3 parts soybean powder, one part pollen, two parts white sugar and one part water. You may substitute brewer's yeast for pollen. It should be noted that once you begin feeding substitute you must continue until sufficient natural pollen is available otherwise the resultant increase of brood could starve.
